💡Overview & Basics
What is ZeroGPTFree? +
ZeroGPTFree is a free AI writing toolkit built for students, educators, and content professionals. It currently includes an AI Content Detector and an Arabic Translator, with more tools on the way. Everything is completely free — no account, no sign-up, no daily limits.
Who is ZeroGPTFree built for? +
ZeroGPTFree is designed for anyone who needs reliable AI detection or translation without a paywall:
  • Students — check your own work before submission
  • Educators — review submitted assignments for AI authorship
  • Content writers — verify originality of published content
  • Arabic speakers — translate to and from Arabic quickly and accurately
  • Businesses — screen vendor, application, or external content submissions
Which languages does the AI Detector support? +
The AI Detector works across all major languages including English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Hindi, Urdu, and more. Detection accuracy is highest for English but performs well across all widely used languages.
Is ZeroGPTFree really 100% free? +
Yes — completely free. No credit card, no account registration, no daily usage limit, and no premium tier. Every feature including the PDF report download is available at no cost.
🎯Detection Accuracy & How It Works
How does the AI Detector work? +
The detector analyses your text across five linguistic signals simultaneously:
  • Perplexity — AI text is highly predictable. Human writing is not.
  • Burstiness — humans vary sentence length naturally; AI output is uniform.
  • Vocabulary patterns — AI tools overuse specific connector words and phrases.
  • Structural uniformity — AI paragraphs follow repetitive patterns (topic → evidence → conclusion).
  • Sentence opening variety — AI text frequently starts consecutive sentences identically.
Each sentence is individually classified and colour-coded, and an overall AI probability score from 0–100% is produced.
Which AI models can it detect? +
ZeroGPTFree is built to identify content generated by all major AI writing tools, including ChatGPT (GPT-3.5, GPT-4, GPT-5), Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, LLaMA, Perplexity AI, and others.
What does the AI score mean? +
The score is a 0–100% probability estimate that the text was AI-generated:
  • 0–20% — Low AI likelihood. The text reads as human-written.
  • 20–50% — Mixed content. Some AI-like patterns detected. Review highlighted sentences.
  • 50–70% — Moderate AI likelihood. Significant portions may be AI-generated.
  • 70–100% — High AI likelihood. The text shows strong AI authorship signals.
For best results, paste at least 150 words. Very short texts carry fewer signals and produce less reliable scores.
Why did my own writing score high for AI? +
Some writers naturally produce highly structured, formal prose that shares statistical patterns with AI output — particularly in technical, scientific, or academic writing. A high score does not definitively mean AI was used. It means the text shares measurable characteristics with AI-generated content. Review the highlighted sentences to understand what specific patterns triggered the score, then consider whether those sections can be rewritten to introduce more varied sentence structure and specific personal detail.
Can AI-paraphrased or heavily edited text evade detection? +
Aggressive paraphrasing can reduce some surface signals, but deep structural and statistical patterns often persist even after rewording. Heavily edited AI text may score lower than the original, but is rarely indistinguishable from genuinely human-written prose. No AI detector is infallible — results should always be treated as one indicator, not a definitive verdict.
🔒Privacy & Data Handling
Is my text stored after I run a detection or translation? +
No. Your text is sent to our AI model in real time to generate your result and is not stored, logged, or retained after the response is returned. Nothing is saved once you close the page or start a new check.
Will my text be used to train AI models? +
No. Text you submit for detection or translation is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model. It is processed solely to produce your result.
Can my text appear online or be shared with third parties? +
No. ZeroGPTFree does not publish, index, share, or sell any text submitted to the tools. Your content is processed privately and discarded after your result is generated.
Do I need to create an account? +
No account is required to use any ZeroGPTFree tool. We do not collect your email address, name, or any personal information to use the AI Detector or Translator. No cookies are used for tracking or advertising purposes.
Features & How-To
How do I use the AI Detector? +
Paste at least 50 words of text into the input area (or upload a .docx file) and click Detect AI Content. Your result — including an overall score, sentence-level highlights, four metrics, and improvement suggestions — appears in a few seconds. You can also download a full PDF report.
What file types can I upload? +
The AI Detector accepts .docx and .doc files. Text is extracted from the file automatically and loaded into the detection panel. Files are processed entirely in your browser — they are not uploaded to any server.
What is in the PDF report? +
The downloadable PDF includes your overall AI score, verdict, verdict explanation, the four detection metrics (AI score, predictability, uniformity, human sentence percentage), colour-coded sentence-level analysis, and the specific improvement suggestions generated for your text. It is formatted as a professional report suitable for sharing with educators or reviewers.
Is there a word or character limit? +
The AI Detector supports up to 15,000 characters (approximately 2,500–3,000 words) per submission. The Arabic Translator supports up to 3,000 characters per translation. For longer texts, process them in sections for best quality and accuracy.
🎓Education & Academic Use
Can educators use ZeroGPTFree to check student submissions? +
Yes. ZeroGPTFree is well suited for educators who want to quickly screen assignments for AI authorship indicators. The sentence-level highlights and improvement suggestions help identify specific passages worth discussing with students. Results should be used as one indicator of academic integrity, not as a definitive verdict, and should be considered alongside other assessment evidence.
What score should I be concerned about as an educator? +
Scores above 70% indicate strong AI likelihood and warrant closer review of the highlighted passages. Scores between 40–70% suggest mixed content and may reflect partial AI use or naturally formal writing style. Scores below 20% are generally consistent with human-written work. No single threshold is universal — institutional policies and assessment context should guide any decisions.
Is the AI Detector reliable enough to use as proof of academic misconduct? +
No AI detector — including ZeroGPTFree — should be used as sole or conclusive proof of academic misconduct. Detection results are probabilistic estimates, not definitive determinations. They should be used to flag text for further review, not to make final judgements. Educators should follow their institution's academic integrity procedures and treat detection results as supporting evidence only.
🌐Arabic Translator
Which languages does the translator support? +
The translator supports Arabic as the primary source language and translates to 30+ target languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Urdu, Hindi, Turkish, Persian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Hebrew, Swahili, and more. You can also reverse the direction — translate from any supported language into Arabic.
Does the translator support Arabic dialects? +
The translator performs best with Modern Standard Arabic (الفصحى — MSA). It also handles Gulf Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, and Levantine Arabic with reasonable accuracy, though dialect-specific expressions may be interpreted through their MSA equivalent. For formal documents, legal text, or precise technical content, we recommend reviewing the output carefully.
How do I translate from English back into Arabic? +
Use the ⇄ swap button in the language selector bar to reverse the direction. The source and target languages switch, the input textarea switches to the appropriate text direction, and the output panel automatically adjusts to RTL for Arabic output.
